Food for thought

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." Hebrews 13:5

Why is this so hard to remember? So many times we focus on money and the kind of work we can do to make the amount of money that we "should" have. When in all reality it doesn't matter at all. God will take care of everything as long as we are careful and grateful for what we do have.

I know for my life, I want to give everything up to God. I don't care if I have a job that makes millions as long as I am doing what God has for me and doing what I love. I want to love others and do what I can to help them out. I have all I could ever need and I am so grateful for what God has given me. He has blessed me with more then I could ever want. A great family, friends, a home, clothes, food, a great school, and enough money to have fun and do other things as well. That isn't even close to the full list of things that God has provided for me. However, there are so many people in this world that don't even have half of those things. All I know is that we need to be more thankful for what we do have and give all of the glory to God because He will provide for our lives, and I think if we focus on Him then things will only get better.

Goals for the Four Months of My LIfe in the Southern part of the African Continent

As I begin my journey to a country far far away named South Africa, these are the goals I hope to complete in my travels. Read on to see what they are and wish me luck!

Goal #1: You have obtained a girlfriend.

Goal #2: You have eliminated the fear of heights by the act of bungee jumping.

Goal #3: You have completed at least one assignment of homework once a week.

Goal #4: You have participated in constant contact with your blog writer/best friend Molly Ramirez.

Goal #5: Place at least two body parts into one of the four oceans of the world, The Indian Ocean.

Goal #6: You have conquered your arch enemy by mastering the waves of the Indian Ocean.

Goal #7: You have successfully met an African elephant.

Goal #8: You have sacrificed lives in order to buy Molly a sweet bracelet.

Goal #9: You have called upon your inner self in order to participate in a South African tribal dance.

Goal #10: You have avoided the pitfalls of regret and have had the time of my life.

Before Africa

Well this blog is for South Africa, but who's saying I can't start it now?! I'm sitting with good friends just hanging out on a beautiful fall day. What could be better you ask? Well... If I had a magic carpet that would be better. And a genie. What would my three wishes be? My 1st wish: That I met Hayden Panettiere and my charm was top notch and I am not awkward around her. My 2nd wish: I am able to obtain a SAG card just so I can have insurance. Also I want it so I can get some legit movie roles. My 3rd wish: I get a chance to be on Amazing Race with my best friend Molly Ramirez and we make it all the way to the end and then cream the other team and win it all for the $1 million. Now my day is good right now, but if my genie came and granted me those three wishes, I would be ecstatic.
